Professor Rinaldo Poli, Academician of the European Academy of Sciences and a professor at Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, was invited to give a lecture at Jilin University’s (JLU) Dingxin Lecture with the title “Coordination vitrimers: introducing inorganic Zr and Hf carboxylate clusters to produce innovative adaptive network materials”.

Prof. ZHANG Xi, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of JLU, awarded Poli a Dingxin Lecture Commemorative Plaque.

Poli provided a detailed introduction on his team’s progress in utilizing coordination bonds as exchangeable and crosslinking sites in vitrimers. He offered valuable ideas and methods for research related to polymer networks from the unique perspective of a coordination chemist, combined with rigorous experimental design and accurate data.

During the interactive session, Poli participated in discussions with teachers and students on experimental details, mechanism analysis, and application prospects, sparking interest in related research.
