Jilin University Museum of Archaeology & Art,formerly the Cultural Relics Room of the HistoryDepartment, was established in 1955.The museum's first foor is a temporary exhibitionhall, which houses fine cultural relics, showcasingand disseminating ancient culture to the public andpromoting Chinese civilization. The second flooristhe permanent exhibition hall of "The Conjugationof Historical Fragments -Special Exhibition ofNortheast Archaeological Culture," which displaysJilin University's archaeological achievements inNortheast China.The museum's rich collection ranks among the topnational university museums in terms of collectionvolume. The branch museum of Jilin University Museum ofArchaeology & Art openedwithin City Flower at No111 Huahong Street, Nanguan district on Jan 18,2025.It covers nearly 10,000 square meters andhouses over 400 cultural relics. Four themedexhibitions show calligraphy and painting, bronzeware, traditional Chinese technology and art, andporcelain fom the Ming and Qingdynasties (1368-1911).The exhibitions have rich historical, scientific, andartistic value. They showcase the essence oftraditional Chinese technology and the beauty of art.
