On April 22, Prof. ZHAO Guoqing, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), met with Prof. Abay Baigenzhin, Dean of the National Scientific Medical Research Center of Kazakhstan.

ZHAO elaborated on the significant advantages and outstanding achievements made by JLU in medical discipline construction, scientific innovation, and talent training. He expressed hopes of broadening the international perspective of medical professionals and improving the quality of medical care by cooperating with the National Scientific Medical Research Center of Kazakhstan.

Abay said he hoped to further promote student exchange programs, giving more young people a better understanding of diverse cultures and educational systems, while also deepening the friendship between the two countries. At the same time, he looked forward to introducing China’s advanced medical technology and management experience into Kazakhstan through JLU, and invited leaders and experts from JLU to visit the country.

LUO Chaohui, Party Secretary of the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, stated that JLU and its three affiliated hospitals have made immeasurable contributions to the construction of the Sixth Affiliated Hospital over the past 11 years. The hospital also had played a considerable role in forging connections between the National Scientific Medical Research Center of Kazakhstan and Jilin University’s affiliated hospitals.
