JLU Vice President attends China-Brazil University Presidents’ Dialogue
The China-Brazil University Presidents’ Dialogue was held in Brazil on June 3. WANG Jiayi, Vice Minister of China’s Ministry of Education; Marcus Vinícius David, Vice Minister of Brazil’s Ministry of Education; and YANG Jun, Vice President and Secretary General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, attended the event and delivered speeches. More than 200 representatives from over 80 comprehensive research universities, vocational colleges, educational institutions, and enterprises from China and Brazil participated in the dialogue.
Prof. YU Xianghui, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), was invited to attend the event and delivered a report on “Digital Empowerment for High-Quality Education Development”.
Titled “AI for Education – Exploration and Practice of Digital Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”, YU shared JLU’s exploration and practices in intelligent education, detailing specific measures the university has taken to promote AI-enabled education through reforms in teaching spaces, resources, methods, evaluation, and governance.
During the visit to Brazil and Chile, YU visited multiple universities, including the University of Brasília and the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil, as well as the Universidad San Sebastian and the University of Chile in Chile, conducting work meetings to promote faculty exchanges, joint student training, and research cooperation.
The delegation also held a China-Chile university exchange event at Universidad San Sebastian, where YU engaged in in-depth discussions on collaboration with Chilean faculty and students. Staff member from JLU’s Office of Global Engagement accompanied the delegation.
