Professor ZHANG Ran, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), welcomed William Coleman, the United States’ Consul General in Shenyang, and his delegation on Dec 19.

ZHANG congratulated Coleman on his new role and highlighted JLU’s international collaborations with US institutions, emphasizing the importance of open youth exchanges.

Coleman expressed his pleasure to revisit China and his expectations to enhance academic and cultural ties. Both sides discussed the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence for students. The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant departments and concluded with a visit to the JLU Museum of Archaeology & Art.
