Professor ZHANG Ran, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), met with Takashi Hamada, Consul General of Japan in Shenyang, to discuss enhancing China-Japanese educational cooperation.

ZHANG Ran highlighted JLU’s strengths in Japanese language studies and its partnerships with Japanese institutions. She emphasized the university’s commitment to deepening collaboration with Japanese universities and aligning with the strategic, mutually beneficial relationship reaffirmed by leaders of both nations during the recent APEC meeting.  

Consul General Takashi Hamada praised the role of youth exchanges in fostering bilateral understanding and expressed hope for expanded cooperation in education and other fields. Representatives from the College of Foreign Languages and other relevant departments also attended the meeting.
