Professor ZHANG Ran, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), met with Professor Thomas Roberts from Harvard Medical School on Dec 9 to discuss enhanced cooperation in medical research and education.

Professor ZHANG Ran welcomed Professor Roberts and highlighted JLU’s academic strengths and vision. She praised his contributions to cancer research and drug development, hoping for deeper interdisciplinary collaboration and joint talent cultivation.

Professor Roberts emphasized his expectations to expand partnerships in medical education and research, particularly in supporting young scholars.

Roberts toured key laboratories at JLU and, on Dec 10, delivered a lecture titled “Attacking PTEN Loss in Human Tumors: A Final Frontier in Targeted Cancer Therapy,” sharing cutting-edge cancer treatment insights.
