JLU Vice President meets University of Birmingham delegation
On May 28, Vice President ZHANG Ran of Jilin University (JLU) met with a delegation from the University of Birmingham to discuss deepening collaboration between the two institutions.
The delegation included Professor John Tellam from the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Associate Director of International Affairs Simiao Sun, and Associate Professor Chris Bradley, head of the Master’s program in River Environments and their Management.
ZHANG welcomed the guests and thanked the University of Birmingham for supporting JLU’s joint student training programs. She emphasized JLU’s commitment to advancing practical cooperation across multiple disciplines, including joint education, research collaboration, and resource sharing.
Professor Tellam expressed appreciation for the invitation and highlighted the significance of the partnership for both faculty and students. He pledged to actively promote the development of geosciences at both universities.
Officials from JLU’s Office of Global Engagement and the College of New Energy and Environment also participated in the meeting.
