From April 1 to 3, Professor HAN Xiping, Vice Chairman of the University Council, Jilin University (JLU), led a delegation to the Australian National University and Macquarie University, promoting cooperation between JLU and the two universities in humanities and social sciences.

Macquarie University’s Vice President Lee-ann Norris met with the delegation and renewed the Memorandum of Understanding between Macquarie University and Jilin University with HAN. Lee-ann Norris stated that Macquarie University and JLU enjoy a strong partnership, and she hopes to take the renewal as an opportunity to further promote international exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

HAN reviewed the partnership between the two universities, expressing hope that it will lead to more opportunities for in-depth exchanges between teachers and students and expand cooperation in interdisciplinary fields.

During the visit, the delegation visited the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney and engaged in exchanges with LIN Xiaoqing, Consul for Education Affairs, to deepen cooperation between Jilin University and Australian universities in talent cultivation and scientific research and innovation.
