FENG Zhengyu leads delegation to establish JLU Alumni Association of Australia
From Feb 16 to 18, FENG Zhengyu, Vice President of the Jilin University (JLU) Alumni Association, led a delegation to Australia to visit Macquarie University and the University of Technology Sydney and attend the launch of the Jilin University Alumni Association of Australia.
At Macquarie University, the delegation discussed computer science development, alumni engagement, multidisciplinary talent training and research collaboration. They also toured the Australian Hearing Hub.
At the University of Technology Sydney, the focus was on the joint bachelor’s-master’s program, with Prof. YANG Bo, Dean of JLU’s College of Computer Science and Technology, sharing insights on its implementation.
The delegation also attended the alumni association’s inauguration in Sydney, where FENG presented flags to President SUN Jing and Vice President ZENG Qingtao. Over 20 alumni from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and other cities participated, representing sectors like finance, education, healthcare, and IT.
FENG hailed the establishment of the new alumni association and expressed hope that it will strengthen global ties between alumni and the university fostering deeper scientific, technological, and cultural cooperation between JLU and Australia.
