The graduation ceremony of the Seminar for Machinery Industry Management Officials under the Global Development Initiative, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by Jilin University, was held on Nov 4 at Jilin University.

XU Nan, Deputy Director of Office of Global Engagement, Jilin University resided over the ceremony. LI Meihua, Director of Office of Global Engagement, Jilin University, and DONG Piyi, First-level Researcher of the Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Office of the Jilin Provincial Department of Commerce, attended the graduation ceremony and delivered speeches.

At the graduation ceremony, 25 officials from the mechanical industry management departments of seven countries received graduation certificates. Through their studies at Jilin University, the students have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of scientific research and its significant role in promoting national economic development.

A teaching team consisting of 12 experts and scholars from Jilin University and Shanghai Dianji University has offered a series of courses, expanding officials’ international perspectives by visiting multiple universities, enterprises, and institutions in Changchun and Shanghai, deepening mutual understanding, and laying a solid foundation for better cooperation in the future.

Jilin University, relying on its disciplinary advantages and teaching resources, has held 72 short-term foreign aid training programs since 2002. A total of 1,876 officials from 58 countries have been invited to the university for learning and exchange programs. A professional team for foreign aid training has been established in multiple disciplines such as education, machinery, intellectual property, and administrative management – accumulating extensive experience.
